PlayVS has announced a partnership with BAND, a group communication platform with more than 50 million users worldwide, to provide new communication tools for scholastic esports programmes.
The deal will give PlayVS-affiliated teams access to BAND’s suite of features, which are designed to streamline daily coordination and strengthen engagement between coaches, players, and parents. Functions include shared calendars, RSVP tracking, secure chat, file sharing, and subgroup chat rooms for team management.
“With student privacy and safety as a shared priority, BAND’s ad-free experience for users under 18 and no phone number requirement aligns perfectly with PlayVS’s commitment to safe youth-focused esports,” PlayVS stated in a LinkedIn post.

PlayVS said the partnership represents “an investment in how esports programs can continue to connect, grow, and thrive,” adding that it expects the tools to help scholastic esports teams become “the most organised and impactful yet.”
