Alpine has unveiled a special edition of its A110 GTS, designed in collaboration with French esports club Gentle Mates. The car features a livery based on the team’s Rocket League “skin”, highlighted by their trademark pink.
The partnership, which began in 2024, sees Alpine remain title sponsor of the organisation. Gentle Mates will compete at the Fortnite Global Championship in Lyon in September before appearing at the final GP Explorer in October, where the livery will be showcased at Le Mans.
“This livery is a unique opportunity for Alpine to connect Gentle Mates’ digital universe with Alpine’s automotive universe, whilst supporting the development of esports in France,” said Antonino Labate, Alpine VP Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience. “Hosting these two major international competitions in France will help promote a booming industry, which is a fundamental strategic focus for our brand’s development.”
The design includes references to the team’s 2024 Rocket League Major victory, with the “M8” logo in three hearts referencing the organisation’s founding trio and their Pegasus emblem.
As part of the partnership, Gentle Mates will also feature Alpine’s new models, the A290 and A390, in a series of offbeat promotional videos aimed at a younger audience. The new livery will be on public display at the Gentle Mates stand during GP Explorer 3, a French influencer-focused Formula 4 racing event created by the streamer Lucas “Squeezie” Hauchard, at Le Mans from 3 to 5 October.
