KaBuM!, known for its hardware store and esports organisation KaBuM! Esports has established a new competitive league on Discord aimed at fostering new talent. The Liga de Desenvolvimento das Américas (LDDA), or Development League of the Americas, is designed to provide structure and opportunity for players dreaming of a career in esports or willing to improve their gameplay, beginning with the League of Legends community and offering a total prize pool of 50,000 BRL (~$9,450 USD).
The league season is set to run until 1st February 2026 and is structured into three separate tiers to accommodate players of all skill levels, from Iron to Challenger. The primary goal is to contribute to the esports ecosystem by creating a pathway for amateur players to develop their skills in a setting that simulates a professional competitive landscape.
Marcelo Fadul, Head of Branding at KaBuM!, explained the league’s purpose, stating, “The LDDA is born to open doors and give an opportunity for new talents to emerge in the Brazilian esports scene. Beyond a league, it is a development project that connects the passion for the game with the real possibility of technical and professional development.”

According to a press release, the community response has been significant. On its first day, the LDDA attracted over 7,000 users to the Discord. In under two weeks, the league has registered more than 16,000 competitors and seen over 6,000 matches played, accumulating more than 60,000 hours of gameplay.
The league’s structure is divided into three tiers. The ‘Open Low Elo’ is for players from Iron to Emerald rank, featuring a 5,000 BRL (~$946 USD) prize pool. The ‘Open High Elo’ is for Diamond to Challenger players, with a 10,000 BRL(~$1,890 USD) prize. The top tier, the exclusive ‘Prime’ queue, is limited to 150 Tier 1 and Tier 2 players, plus the most outstanding Tier 3 competitors, and offers a 35,000 BRL (~$6,625 USD) prize, sponsored by KaBuM!.
Beyond the prize money, the top five players from the Prime tier will be given the opportunity to spend a week inside the KaBuM! Esports Gaming House in São Paulo. There, they will experience the life of a professional athlete, including training sessions, scrims, VOD reviews, performance analysis, nutrition, and psychological support.
The launch of the LDDA follows a broader discussion in Brazil regarding international performance, talent fostering, and long-term health of its competitive League of Legends scene. The league is supported by ‘Ilha das Lendas‘, the largest League of Legends community led by influencer and former pro-player Gustavo “Baiano” Gomes, and is also sponsored by peripherals brand Husky.
