StarLadder has announced Runestone as its official data and integrity partner for the ongoing StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

This late announcement comes as the $1,250,000 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament is already finishing its second stage and entering the third, concluding on 14 December. The partnership aims to leverage Runestone’s technology to bolster the tournament’s operational backbone and competitive integrity.

Under the agreement, Runestone will provide advanced data operations, competitive integrity services, and esports technology for the Major. This support is intended to ensure the tournament operates with transparency and reliability, allowing the organiser to focus on the spectator and participant experience.

The tournament organiser had previously confirmed deals with technology firms Intel and Alienware for hardware, ZOWIE as official monitor partnerXplay.gg as a training platform, and CORSAIR as a hardware partner, among others.

“As a storied tournament organiser, StarLadder has played a defining role in shaping esports. Being able to support their return with our integrity and data infrastructure is something we’re genuinely excited about,” said Shane Clarke, Managing Director at Runestone.

The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, which began on 24 November, features 32 of the world’s top CS2 teams. Runestone’s role will include monitoring matches for suspicious activity and delivering real-time data to enhance broadcasts and operational insights, with a special Runestone-powered feature promised for later reveal. In a further expansion of the Budapest Major partner roster, StarLadder has also announced Scope.gg as the event’s analytics partner.
