In a major consolidation within Brazilian esports, two of the region’s prominent organisations, W7M Esports and Fluxo, have officially merged to form a single entity known as Fluxo W7M. The move unites W7M’s operational structure and competitive legacy—including its four-time world championship winning Rainbow Six division—with Fluxo’s vast audience reach, tradition on Free Fire, and recent Counter-Strike pedigree, notably and most recently a run at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
In an exclusive interview with The Esports Radar, key executives from the new entity, Eudson “Eudinho” Filho (CEO and Operational Director Fluxo W7M), Felipe Funari (President of the Fluxo W7M Board and CEO of W7M Holding), and Alex Watanabe (former Fluxo COO and now Fluxo W7M Head of Marketing and Content) explained the rationale, process, and future of the unified organisation, characterising the complex corporate move as a surprisingly smooth “win-win” scenario driven by complementary needs.
The merger, officially announced on 9 December 2025, was the culmination of a partnership that began over a year prior in the CBLOL (Brazilian League of Legends Championship, which was branded as LTA during the 2025 season). According to the executives, that initial collaboration served as a testing ground, revealing deeper synergies that made a full merger logical. Watanabe described the CBLOL partnership as a “courtship” to see if a “marriage” was feasible. “We realised that throughout the year, combining all our synergies, it made much more sense for us to work as a single unit than separately,” he stated.

The core logic centred on complementary weaknesses. Funari explained that W7M had strong brand recognition—bolstered by a legacy as a four-time world champion in Rainbow Six—but struggled to convert it into broad social media reach and audience numbers. Fluxo, conversely, had massive audience reach but could benefit from W7M’s formal corporate structure and operational discipline.
This synergy extends to social media strategy, where dedicated W7M channels will focus on strongholds like Rainbow Six, all unified under the Fluxo W7M brand. “For us, it made a lot of sense, and for Fluxo… we have something here, even as a Holding company, that ties together this whole stage of leaving Nobru and Cerol freer from operations to act as influencers and we strengthen the Fluxo brand even more as a business model,” Funari added.
Eudson Filho emphasised the lack of conflict in the merger discussions. He revealed the process to define roles and governance was “very easy,” involving Fluxo Founders Bruno “Nobru” Goes, Lucio “Cerol” Lima, and Jefferson “Jeffão” Moreira. The agreement resulted in a 50/50 operational control split between the founding parties and the Holding company. “It was literally: ‘It will be like this and like that.’… What they wouldn’t give up, we didn’t care about; what we wouldn’t give up, they didn’t care about. So it stayed like that,” Filho said, attributing the smoothness to a shared ambition to “be big and be the greatest.”

Regarding operational integration, Watanabe noted that 90% of Fluxo’s team was absorbed. He acknowledged small adjustments and a “few small departures,” but stressed there was “certainly no layoff.” The full integration of internal teams began on 1 November, with the goal of being 100% unified by January 2026. All operations will consolidate at W7M’s office, which includes dedicated training rooms, player apartments, and a full studio structure.
Through November, competitive commitments like the Rainbow Six circuit and Fluxo’s Counter-Strike team ran separately to avoid disruption. Watanabe highlighted the cultural benefits: “The way they work, especially in commercial and content… the way they look at projects is something we missed. We never had that perspective.”
On the commercial front, all existing sponsor contracts with both organisations—which include partners like Banco do Brasil on the W7M side and LG on the Fluxo side—are being honoured. Executives confirmed they proactively informed partners of the merger and stated the reception was positive. The key argument for sponsors was that their reach would be amplified across a wider portfolio of teams and content at no extra cost under the current contractual terms. Watanabe cited the recent Surf Telecom deal as an example of a negotiation that was already underway, with the partner being informed of the change to Fluxo W7M.
The decision to use the combined name “Fluxo W7M” was partly due to these existing contractual obligations and the participation in leagues like the CBLOL and the Rainbow Six Share program. “For compliance reasons with the companies that sponsor us… if I say, ‘I’m going to merge this and lose the name,’ you lose the entire strategy you communicated,” explained Funari, indicating the name is likely to remain for at least the next 1.5 to 2 years.

Addressing the financial health of both parties pre-merger, Funari was clear: “Nobody was suffering… Both were financially healthy and were under good pressure.” He described the merger as “joining forces” rather than a rescue operation for either side.
Looking ahead, the executives framed the merger as part of a broader, post-pandemic trend towards market concentration in global esports. “I think the big global movement that should happen… is that the same clubs will have the same spots,” Funari said, pointing to similar consolidations.
The creation of Fluxo W7M presents a promising new entity in the market. The organisation now boasts assets that rival the region’s largest forces: strong, consolidated operations from a single professional headquarters; coveted franchised spots in premier competitions like CBLOL, the Rainbow Six Share program, and even in the Kings League with Fluxo’s football team; top-tier competitive teams across multiple titles; and a massive, combined content engine. This merger does not just add two organisations together—it creates a comprehensive ecosystem with few apparent weaknesses.
For the community, the leadership promises an amplified focus on social initiatives—combining W7M Holding’s projects with the Fluxo Institute—and a reinforced competitive drive. “We are two victorious organisations,” said Filho. “Just trying to gain more space where we haven’t been champions yet… Fans can expect that we will surprise again next year.”
