German organisation CGN Esports has secured a long-term hardware sponsorship, naming BenQ‘s gaming brand ZOWIE as its official monitor partner to support its competitive VALORANT roster and joint content initiatives.

The partnership, now formalised into a long-term sponsorship agreement, will see the esports hardware brand provide its high-performance monitors to CGN Esports, with a primary focus on supporting the organisation’s VALORANT team in training and competition. The collaboration, which began with initial activations in 2025, aims to create optimal conditions for player performance while developing shared content for the DACH region audience.

Following trial activations last year—including the ZOWIE Aim Challenge at the VCL Valorant DACH Finals in Berlin—the deal has been expanded. ZOWIE equipment is already installed in the CGN Experience areas at the MediaMarktSaturn XPERION in Cologne, offering visitors professional-grade setups. The partnership is further strengthened by plans for year-round collaborative content covering competitive gaming, setup performance, and creator-led formats.

David Dick, COO & Co-Owner of CGN Esports, highlighted the practical benefits for the team, stating: “ZOWIE is one of the most relevant brands in competitive gaming. Supporting our VALORANT team with professional hardware is a clear benefit for our players and our performance ambitions.”

ZOWIE’s Marketing Lead Esports Dennis Jansen, pointed to CGN’s regional influence and competitive goals: “CGN Esports combines one of the loudest fanbases in the DACH region with top-tier performance as VALORANT record champions, driven by the clear ambition to compete internationally again in 2026. As the official monitor partner, we support the team with our hardware and see strong potential in the mix of performance, fan closeness and creators for impactful activations.”

The agreement also reveals potential synergies within the wider esports ecosystem, noting that in VALORANT, CGN Esports works closely with Team Heretics, an organisation also supported by ZOWIE.

This move aligns with a series of recent monitor-focused partnerships for ZOWIE, which earlier this week was announced as the new Official Monitor Partner of North American organisation ENVY. That deal also focuses on providing hardware for competitive rosters, notably within ENVY’s VALORANT Champions Tour team. ZOWIE’s strategy continues to emphasise deep integration within the competitive FPS scene, as outlined in a recent interview with The Esports Radar.

For CGN Esports, the sponsorship complements its existing partnership with MediaMarktSaturn, launched in September 2025, which established dedicated gaming experience zones in Cologne with plans for further German locations.
