HiveScale Holding has acquired the storied Brazilian esports organisation INTZ Esports, with the stated goal of revitalising the brand and integrating it into a broader gaming ecosystem. This move forms part of HiveScale’s plan to invest over R$ 100 million by 2030 to build a comprehensive network for brands seeking to engage with Brazil’s gamer community.
The deal will see INTZ return to competitive League of Legends (LoL) aiming for the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) under the operational management of Stellae Gaming, a HiveScale company. The acquisition sees INTZ, a five-time national LoL champion, re-enter the professional scene after a year’s absence due to financial struggles and to being left out of the Riot Games partner program in 2025, when a major restructuring of the local league occurred.
HiveScale, which also owns the marketing agency Black Duck, intends to leverage its group structure to manage the organisation. Under the new arrangement, INTZ will focus solely on competitive endeavours across titles including LoL, VALORANT, and Rainbow Six Siege. Meanwhile, Stellae Gaming will concentrate on social and educational projects, with Black Duck providing strategic support for brand partnerships.

Lucas Catharino, CEO of HiveScale, framed the acquisition as a step towards a more sustainable financial model for Brazilian esports. “Esports has everything it needs to become a financially sustainable ecosystem in Brazil. A strong brand like INTZ, managed by a company focused on professional management and financial responsibility like Stellae, is the ideal formula for success,” he stated.
Founded in 2014, INTZ is one of Brazil’s most iconic esports entities, having competed internationally in several titles. Its return to the League of Legends is a significant moment for the domestic scene, re-inserting a major historic player into the fray. Stellae Gaming is an organisation with notable competitive participation in VALORANT and Rainbow Six Siege since its 2022 founding.
The long-term strategy for HiveScale extends beyond team ownership. The holding company has indicated plans to develop proprietary systems and real estate solutions tailored for the gaming market, aiming to significantly scale its audience reach. This acquisition of a fan-favourite brand like INTZ provides an immediate competitive and community-focused asset around which its wider ecosystem can be built.
