Logitech G has unveiled its latest esports peripheral, the PRO X2 Superstrike gaming mouse, developed through direct collaboration with professional players.
The announcement, shared on social media by Chief Marketing Officer Peter Kingsley, positions the mouse as a product of the brand’s long-standing “Designed with Pros” philosophy, aiming to set a new standard in competitive performance through athlete-led innovation.
The new mouse incorporates what Logitech G calls a breakthrough Haptics Induction Trigger System (HITS), described as the fastest, fully customisable click mechanism. The design also utilises innovative materials to reduce weight and enhance durability while maintaining a familiar form factor. According to Kingsley, every aspect was “meticulously co-created alongside over 300 of the best pro esports athletes” to ensure real-world competitive advantages.
This launch is a direct product of Logitech G’s established, science-led development process for its PRO Series range. As detailed during a panel at Esports Leaders London 2025, the brand employs a three-stage process beginning with fundamental research, often in partnership with institutions like the LERO Esports Science Research Lab. This is followed by extensive validation and refinement with its network of professional players.

The product’s development cycle underscores the intensive collaboration Logitech G maintains with the esports industry. Prototypes of the PRO X2 Superstrike have already been spotted in professional competition, most notably used by the then G2 Esports’ player Jonah “JonahP” Pulice during the VCT Americas Stage 2 Finals in 2025. According to data from ProSettings.net, nearly 50% of all pro players across 12 titles currently use Logitech G gear.
For Logitech G, this athlete-first approach is seen as commercially sustainable, with the high standards of professionals informing products for the wider enthusiast market. Global Brand Manager for PRO Series & Esports, Cary Lambert, previously told The Esports Radar that close player relationships are critical.
