Epic Games and BLAST have announced that the first Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) LAN event of 2026, the Major 1 Summit, will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The competition is scheduled for 30–31 May 2026 at the PSD Bank Dome, marking the first time a major FNCS event has been hosted in the city.
The Major 1 Summit will feature 50 of the top-performing duos from seven global regions. Participants will compete for a share of a $1,000,000 prize pool, with the top five teams securing direct qualification for the 2026 Fortnite Global Championship scheduled for November. This event serves as the first in-person milestone of the 2026 competitive circuit, which features a total seasonal prize pool exceeding $10,000,000.

When the event was first announced in December 2025, BLAST stated in a press release: “The introduction of the FNCS Major 1 Summit creates a pivotal moment in the competitive calendar, offering players a high-stakes LAN opportunity early in the season to secure their place at the Fortnite Global Championship.”
The event at the PSD Bank Dome will consist of 12 matches played over two days. Scoring will follow the standard competitive Fortnite system, which aggregates points based on both match placement and eliminations. Qualification for the Düsseldorf event is determined through a multi-stage online process. Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale 2 March 2026 at 10:00 CET.
