Echo Esports has inked a long-term renewal of its partnership with digital marketplace G2A.COM, securing critical infrastructure for the unprecedented “Triple-Raid” format of the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion.
The announcement comes as G2A.COM celebrates a decade in the industry, surpassing a total of €12 million in global esports investments.

The current Race to World First (RWF) represents a historic shift in WoW competitive play. For the first time, three separate raids have launched within a single tier. This structure transforms the traditional sprint into a gruelling marathon of endurance and logistics.
For a player-owned organisation like Echo, the financial backing from G2A is essential to manage resource allocation, professional infrastructure for maintaining the support staff, analysts, and broadcasting talent required for a multi-week, multi-front campaign, and endurance.
G2A’s commitment to Echo is part of a broader action plan that has seen the marketplace support over 70 professional teams and 110 international events. For Echo, who recently secured a second-place global finish, this stability allows the roster to focus entirely on the “gauntlet” of Midnight Falls.
Fans following the progress of the raid can access a curated landing page featuring the team’s favourite titles and access event-specific discounts on the G2A marketplace during the RWF broadcast.
The RWF remains one of the few “community-driven” spectacles that rivals franchised leagues in viewership. Echo’s strategic partnership highlights the growing necessity for deep-pocketed sponsors in non-traditional esports formats, especially as the technical and logistical demands of top-tier raiding continue to scale. Recently, MMORPG-first esports organisation Method has partnered with SCAN, one of Europe’s leading PC builders, for the upcoming RWF.
