Japanese esports team REJECT announced the renewal of its team sponsorship agreement with NURO, a communication service brand provided by Sony Network Communications.
The partnership, which originally began in April 2023, will continue to provide the organisation with communication support for its competitive activities. According to official communications, the goal of the renewal is to maintain a stable network infrastructure for the players while supporting the growth and value of the competitive gaming scene.

Under the terms of the renewed contract, REJECT will receive ongoing network support to ensure high-speed and stable connections for its professional players. Additionally, the organisation confirmed that the contract renewal will result in a change to the design of the REJECT team uniform.
Regarding the support provided by the brand, Shoya Koyama, CEO at REJECT, stated that the communication environment directly affects competitive ability and that the “continuous partnership with NURO is an important foundation supporting REJECT’s competitive activities.”
Noriyoshi Nakagawa, President and CEO of Sony Network Communications Inc, commented on the deal: “We are delighted to have renewed our contract with REJECT for this year. Through our team sponsorship agreement with REJECT, NURO has been working to create exciting experiences that unite players and fans. Moving forward, NURO will continue to support the development and enhancement of value in esports from a communications perspective, and as a communications service of the Sony Group, we will strive to provide services that satisfy all people who enjoy gaming.”
REJECT was established in 2018 and is one of the main esports organisations in Japan. The team was selected as one of the 40 partner teams for the Esports World Cup Foundation Club Partner Programme in 2025 and in 2026. It houses notable players such as the fighting games legend Daigo Umehara.
