ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has appointed Wei Xu as its new Associate Director of Product Marketing, with a specific focus on esports and gaming partnerships. Joining the brand in April 2026, Xu will lead the coordination of the manufacturer’s rapidly growing portfolio of professional team and tournament sponsorships.

Based in Shanghai, China, her appointment comes as ASUS ROG intensifies its presence in the competitive gaming sector, securing multiple high-profile deals across North America, Asia, and Europe in the first quarter of the year.

In early 2026, ASUS ROG was named the official monitor, PC, and peripheral partner for the PGL season, including the Counter-Strike 2 PGL Singapore Major 2026. This was followed by a string of major North American activations, including multi-year partnerships with Evil Geniuses and Cloud9, as well as sponsorship of the LCK Finals in Hong Kong.

The influx of new talent like Xu, who possesses deep roots in esports and publishing sectors, signals an intent to maintain this momentum and further integrate hardware solutions into elite competitive environments.

Xu brings significant international experience to the role, having previously served as Senior Esports Manager at Tencent Games, where she worked at large-scale, record-breaking competitive operations for Honor of Kings. Prior to her time at Tencent, she spent over three years as the Latin America Esports Manager for MOONTON Games, based in Lima, Peru, where she was instrumental in establishing the regional infrastructure for the mobile title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The brand’s recent deals—including the renewal with BLAST, the global partnership with DRX, and the deal with the National Association of Collegiate Esports—indicate an ongoing “multi-title, multi-tier, and multi-region” strategy, something now to be pushed forward through Xu’s experience in different, localised markets.
