Riot Games has announced that the DJ and multidisciplinary artist Anyma will serve as a creative collaborator for the Opening Ceremony of the League of Legends World Championship 2025 (Worlds 2025) Grand Final in Chengdu, China.

Working alongside the game developer’s internal creative team and the global event producer Done and Dusted, Anyma will be responsible for the Act III of the ceremony. According to a press release, the goal is to create a unique live experience that “pushes boundaries” at the esports event.

Anyma is known for blending technology, art, and music into immersive spectacles. His past work includes a sold-out residency at Sphere Las Vegas, creative direction for a The Weeknd show in São Paulo, and a recent performance at the Pyramids of Giza.

Maria Egan, Global Head of Music and Events at Riot Games, commented on the partnership, stating, “This year’s Worlds Opening Ceremony pushes new boundaries for its award-winning stage production, with a collaboration unlike anything we’ve done before. By uniting the League of Legends IP with Anyma’s visionary visual art, we are creating a unique live experience that further solidifies Worlds among the most iconic cultural events in the world.”

In addition to shaping the visual creative for Act III, Anyma will also share the stage with Chinese superstar G.E.M. for a special live performance of the Worlds 2025 anthem, ‘Sacrifice’. The Opening Ceremony will also feature performances from Austrian singer-songwriter TEYA and long-time League of Legends collaborator Chrissy Costanza.

Reflecting on his involvement, Anyma said, “I’ve been an avid gamer my entire life, so being the headline act for Worlds 2025 is a true honour. Riot Games’ consistent storytelling on such a large scale seems truly limitless. League of Legends has created universes that inspire millions, and I am excited to bring my sound and touch to their world to push the boundaries of what is possible through such an impactful medium.”

The Worlds 2025 Opening Ceremony will be broadcast live on 9 November from the Dong’an Lake Sports Park Indoor Stadium in Chengdu, China.
