Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has extended two of its key partnerships, renewing agreements with IT services provider BWI GmbH and Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) marketplace SkinBaron.
BWI, the digitalisation partner of the German Armed Forces, will support BIG for another year, expanding its backing to the organisation’s Fortnite roster alongside the CS2 men’s and women’s teams and Trackmania. The deal also covers events, content formats and workshops at BIG’s Berlin headquarters, with plans for community tournaments and further initiatives. The renewal was brokered by agency SPORTFIVE.
“After the successful start last year, we are especially pleased to expand the cooperation with Fortnite and to set new impulses together in the areas of community, employer branding and content,” said Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, in a press release.
SkinBaron, a partner since 2019, will continue supporting BIG’s professional, Academy and women’s teams. The company operates a global marketplace for CS2 skins.
Finkler noted SkinBaron’s role “both during successful and challenging times”, while SkinBaron CEO Tobias Andro described the partnership as a commitment to “sustainably supporting the German esports scene and helping talent reach the top”.
The partnerships follow a series of recent commercial moves by BIG, including renewed sponsorships with Philips OneBlade and Acer Predator, as well as a landmark cannabis deal with GreenMedical, the first of its kind in German esports.
