Tournament organiser BLAST has secured a new multi-year partnership with specialist freight firm EFM Global to handle the complex logistics for its worldwide esports circuit. The deal is designed to strengthen the operational backbone of BLAST’s events by leveraging EFM’s expertise in moving technical equipment and infrastructure internationally.
The multi-event agreement names EFM Global as the Official Global Logistics Partner for the 2026 season and beyond. It encompasses the end-to-end management of equipment, staging, and production infrastructure for more than 20 global events per year. According to a press release, this includes the transportation of 18 tonnes of air freight per tournament, multi-container sea freight, international road transport, and the movement of server farms, broadcast systems, and competition-grade technology kits.
EFM will receive logo placements across BLAST’s global broadcasts and be featured in bespoke content, digital campaigns, and branded segments on social media. BLAST will also produce an aftermovie specifically showcasing the logistics behind delivering its Tier 1 events.

James Brown, Commercial Director at BLAST, said: “EFM is the gold standard in event logistics, and we’re thrilled to welcome them as our Official Global Logistics Partner for 2026 and beyond. Their expertise helps us deliver unforgettable esports experiences for fans around the world.”
Marcel Meyer, Global VP Events at EFM Global, commented on the unique demands of the sector: “What makes esports uniquely complex is the fusion of elite sport, broadcast television and touring production. Teams arrive with high-performance support crews—sports psychologists, physios, analysts—because the athletes perform at exceptional reflex thresholds. That competitive standard drives enormous technical expectations behind the scenes.”
EFM’s first event under the new partnership will be the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) BLAST Open Rotterdam in March 2026. The deal follows BLAST’s ongoing expansion of its global presence, which has recently included major developments in the United States, India and Malta.
BLAST works with publishers including Epic Games, Supercell, Valve, and Ubisoft on titles such as Rocket League, Fortnite, Rainbow Six, Brawl Stars, Dota 2 and CS2. For EFM, which has 25 years of experience in live events and sports logistics, this partnership marks a significant entry into the sustained logistical demands of a top-tier esports organiser.
