Esports production company BLAST has appointed Russell Schneider as Vice President, Head of Brand Partnerships. Schneider will be responsible for leading and expanding the organisation’s global sales and brand partnerships operations across key regions including the United States, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

The announcement marks a significant addition to BLAST’s leadership team as the company continues to grow its international presence. Schneider brings experience in media, sponsorship, and innovation, and will oversee efforts to drive brand storytelling across BLAST’s platform, events, and intellectual properties.

In his new role, according to a LinkedIn post, Schneider will also be tasked with recruitment, with “multiple roles” expected to open across the brand partnerships division.

Schneider’s first major appearance with BLAST will be at the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major, taking place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The event is billed as the largest esports event in the United States, with more than 40,000 fans expected to attend.

BLAST, known for hosting large-scale esports events and producing gaming content, continues to expand its global reach. This year, especially on the build up for the Austin Major, the company had been headlining several business news spanning from sponsorship deals, broadcasting innovations, new events, and even closing a deal to make its content available onboard commercial flights worldwide.
