Danish esports tournament organiser BLAST has announced a partnership with game developer and publisher KRAFTON.

The deal will see the two parties collaborate on PUBG esports tournaments taking place across the EMEA region and the Americas.

BLAST will operate the returning PUBG EMEA Championship and the PUBG Americas Series for 2025. This year marks the third time the esports circuit for the battle royale title has hosted these regional tournaments.

The tournaments will take place from March 14th, 2025 and culminate with the Grand Finals from March 28th to 30th. Both tournaments will feature a $50,000 (~£38,622) prize pool up for grabs.

According to a release, BLAST will work with KRAFTON to provide its ‘fan first’ production philosophy to PUBG esports, with the aim of growing the game’s esports scene across the world. In addition to the EMEA Championship and the Americas Series, the tournament organiser will also operate the PUBG Players Tour, a new grassroots competition which will be the first official third-person perspective (TPP) competition to take place since 2018.

The Players Cup features open qualification along with a $139,000 prize pool for each region and an opportunity for amateur players to compete against members of the PUBG Affiliate Programme.

In February, PUBG Esports unveiled ten teams that form its partnership programme with the likes of NAVI, Gen.G, and Team Falcons successfully applying for a spot within the initiative.

“At BLAST, we pride ourselves on working with the best game publishers and most popular esports titles,” revealed Scott Appleton, Senior Esports Commercial Manager at BLAST.

“Adding KRAFTON and PUBG: Battlegrounds further expands and strengthens our portfolio of ecosystems. We can’t wait to showcase the best PUBG esports teams across Europe and the Americas this year and help further grow the competitive scene in the future.”
