CGN Esports and MediaMarktSaturn have formed a partnership to promote gaming and esports access across Germany. At the centre of the collaboration are two CGN Experience Zones at XPERION Cologne, the original Saturn store, with additional activations planned for Berlin, Hamburg, and selected MediaMarkt and Saturn locations.

The Cologne zones offer over 100 square metres of dedicated spaces, including an area for Fortnite, EA FC, and fighting games, alongside a Pro-Gaming Area tailored for League of Legends and VALORANT. Both areas feature professional-grade hardware, streaming setups, aim challenges, and products available for purchase. Regular weekly events include leagues, open training sessions, boot camps, and creator meetups.

In a press release, David Dick, COO and co-owner of CGN Esports, said: “XPERION Cologne is our new home stadium. This is where gaming comes alive and the community thrives… Cologne remains our home – but our impact stretches far beyond its borders.”

Founded in 2020, the Cologne Gaming Network, or CGN Esports, holds titles in VALORANT DACH and League of Legends Prime League (Spring 2025). According to the organisation, its creator network reaches over eight million followers across team and player channels.

MediaMarktSaturn views the partnership as a way to strengthen offline presence and recurring activations, while reinforcing its position in gaming lifestyle. Sebastian Knaup, Managing Director of XPERION, added: “CGN Esports is more than just a crowd-puller… it’s the perfect match to give something back to the community with ongoing events and accessible experiences.”
