Brazilian esports organisation Imperial Esports (Imperial Gamdom) has established a new European base in Malta as part of its global expansion strategy.
The 180 m² space is designed to host up to three teams training simultaneously and includes meeting rooms and dedicated areas for recording and live streaming. The hub will also be available for use by other organisations, local tournaments, GamingMalta, and the Malta Esports Association for bootcamps and pre-competition preparation.
The facility, located in Paceville, will serve as a hub for team bootcamps, content creation, and managing the organisation’s competitive and creator operations on the continent. This move aims to solidify Imperial’s presence within the international esports scene and facilitate easier integration for its South American talent. The global expansion includes its women’s Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) team, the Imperial Valkyries, which is formed by former multi-champion players from Nigma Galaxy.

Bruno Silveira, VP and CFO of Imperial Esports, commented on the strategic move, stating: “Today, with the creation of our office in Paceville, we are taking a strategic and concrete step towards the internationalisation of Imperial Esports. The space represents not only a logistical achievement within the global competitive scene but a real opportunity to expand our presence on the European continent and attract new partners.”
The choice of Malta reflects a strategic trend, with the country hosting international tournaments and offering offices for other major market players. Its air connectivity to destinations like England, Turkey, Germany, and Serbia, coupled with a special visa programme for esports players, allows for a more lasting presence for athletes and staff in Europe.
This expansion follows a path already taken by other Brazilian organisations, such as FURIA, which inaugurated a training centre in Malta in March 2023.
The first major project linked to the new hub will be the creation of a content house in Budapest during the Starladder Major Budapest, gathering icons from different generations of Counter-Strike. The Malta headquarters is scheduled to officially open in December, with an early debut in November when the men’s CS2 team conducts its pre-Major bootcamp at the location.
