MOONTON Games, the company behind the mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), and Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) have expanded their working relationship with a new five-year hosting agreement.

Under the new deal, Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia will host the Grand Finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Middle East and North Africa, known as MPL MENA, beginning in 2027. The agreement runs through 2031.

Qiddiya City is a large development under construction in Saudi Arabia, built specifically for entertainment, sports and culture. It includes a section dedicated to gaming and esports, which is designed to hold major tournaments, provide training facilities for professional players, and offer venues where fans can watch matches in person. The Grand Finals will use this section of the city.

MPL MENA Grand Finals is the last event of the season, where the best teams in the region play to decide who wins the title. Until now, a league like this has often moved from city to city or country to country. With this agreement, the final event will have a fixed location for five years in a row.

For fans, the main practical change is that the location of the finals is now known years in advance. For teams and organisers, it means they can plan around one venue instead of adapting to a new one each season. Further details, such as exact dates for the 2027 finals, ticketing and prize pool amounts, have not yet been announced.

Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem at MOONTON Games, said, “Our expanded partnership with Qiddiya City gives MPL MENA a long-term home and a stronger foundation to grow the league, elevate fan experiences, and nurture regional talent. As we celebrate MPL MENA’s tenth season, Team Falcons’ success reflects the region’s growing competitive strength. Beyond developing champions, our ambition is to build an ecosystem that empowers young talent to excel in their chosen paths and become role models who inspire the next generation.”

This is not the first agreement between the two organisations. In May 2026, MOONTON Games and Qiddiya signed a separate five-year partnership. That earlier deal covered activities such as interacting with fans, improving how matches are broadcast, running community programs, and organising small-scale events for young people across the region.
