The Swedish esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas has launched an exhibition at the Tekniska Museet in Stockholm. The showcase presents the team’s history through archival material and installations, framing competitive gaming within a cultural institution.

The exhibition guides visitors through the organisation’s development. It is structured into sections covering its origins, competitive history, and players. The display includes video installations, tournament footage, interviews with former players, and a display of team jerseys and logos.

Laura Rojas Uribe, Director of Innovation at Ninjas in Pyjamas, stated the exhibition was a long planned initiative. “Ninjas in Pyjamas has shaped esports culture for more than two decades, so this exhibition feels like a natural step. The idea first came to me in 2022, but celebrating our 25th anniversary makes it especially meaningful.

“It’s vital for us to share the story behind the team – the players, the moments, and the design language that made NIP what it is today. This exhibition is a chance to treat esports as culture and give people a closer look at the pieces that shaped our journey. It’s for the fans, the curious, the parents, and even those who never believed esports would amount to anything. This is our homage to all of them.”

A panel talk will be held at the museum on Saturday, 6th December, featuring NIP’s Street Fighter player JoelJuicyJoeSundell and his father, discussing a career in esports. The museum’s “Forest” exhibition space also contains a temporary area focused on the esports organisation.

This development follows a period of strategic expansion for the organisation’s parent company, NIP Group. In 2025, the group significantly diversified its revenue streams, developing a crypto mining structure, operating as a live entertainment company in China and announcing plans to open over 100 esports hotels there. Concurrently, its core competitive division maintained commercial momentum, securing a new sponsorship with Rainbet and renewing its long-standing partnership with Red Bull.
