Omeda Studios has announced the launch of the Predecessor Championship Circuit, marking a new step in the studio’s ambition to position its third-person MOBA Predecessor as a major title within the global esports landscape.
Following the momentum generated by its recent Summer Showdown Creator Tournament, which, according to the publisher, drew consistent community engagement and interest from the wider competitive gaming scene, the new circuit introduces a structured series of grassroots and regional tournaments across North America and Europe.
The summer calendar includes:
- PCC 2025 Summer Sign-Ups: 31 May
- PCC Creator Cup: 14–15 June
- PCC NA Summer Preliminaries: 21–22 June
- PCC EU Summer Preliminaries: 28–29 June
- PCC NA & EU Summer Finals: 12–13 July
The initiative reflects a deliberate move by Omeda Studios to lay the foundations for Predecessor’s competitive ecosystem. The Championship Circuit is intended not only to foster player talent, but also to solidify the game’s presence within the market for online multiplayer esports.
“Building on the incredible energy from last month’s creator tournament, we’re thrilled to announce a monumental leap forward for Predecessor esports with the launch of our official Predecessor Championship Circuit in both Europe and North America,” said Robbie Singh, CEO of Omeda Studios. “This is a massive step, showcasing our commitment to fostering competitive play and directly supporting our incredible community.”
To support the circuit, a new in-game skin line will be released, with proceeds contributing to the prize pool – an approach aimed at enabling the community to directly invest in the competitive future of the game.
Omeda Studios has indicated that additional details on the tournament format will be released in the coming weeks. All matches will be streamed on the official Predecessor Twitch channel.
The game is free-to-play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. With its third-person perspective applied to traditional traditional three lane format, the title aims to stand out in the MOBA genre and establish itself as a contender in the international esports arena.
Predecessor isn’t the only new esport on the horizon, as DreamHack Stockholm 2025 is set to host the first official The Finals tournament later this year.
