Brazilian state-controlled energy company Petrobras, one of the country’s largest corporations and a global leader in deep-water oil and gas production, has entered a partnership with Prêmio eSports Brasil (PeB) for its 2025 edition. The move marks a significant step as a traditional national brand aligns with the country’s gaming and esports sector.
“The presence of Petrobras in Prêmio eSports Brasil 2025 reinforces our commitment in promoting strategic partnerships that engage with the gaming audience,” said Gustavo Freudenfeld, PeB’s General Director. He added that the partnership reflects a shared vision of discovering and recognising new talent while supporting the development of Brazil’s esports industry.
The collaboration connects directly with “Energia do Game Petrobras”, a reality show launched in 2024 to discover new gaming content creators. In 2025, finalists from the project will take part in the PeB ceremony on 18 December in São Paulo, alongside leading figures from the Brazilian esports scene.
Ana Esteves, Petrobras’s Advertising and Media Manager, said: “Our partnership with Prêmio eSports Brasil is a strategic bridge with Generation Z. Energia do Game Petrobras goes beyond the discovery of talents; it is a laboratory of innovation where young creatives can develop narratives that naturally connect the gaming universe with attributes of our brand.”
First held in 2017, Prêmio eSports Brasil is considered the largest esports awards ceremony in Latin America, recognising athletes, organisations, casters, publishers and influencers. The event is organised by Player1 Gaming Group, a spin-off of communications giant Globo’s games and esports division, and V3A, a live marketing and projects company.
