Scholastic and collegiate esports operator PlayVS has named Emerge Apparel as the official jersey provider for its entire competitive ecosystem.

The deal brings the two brands back together to supply custom apparel, team design services, and dedicated online storefronts across middle school, high school, and PlayVS College League (PCL) programmes.

The reunion follows a vendor shift within the PlayVS ecosystem. Addressing a recent partnership with Duo Digital Prints announced earlier this year, PlayVS confirmed to The Esports Radar that the company has terminated that agreement after deciding the service was no longer a good fit for its ecosystem.

Under the renewed framework, Emerge will manage concept design, manufacturing, ordering, and fulfillment for participating academic teams. The partnership incorporates a 20% profit-sharing booster model, enabling schools and university clubs to use custom merchandise storefronts as an integrated fundraising tool for their esports programmes.

PlayVS and Emerge first collaborated in 2023, serving more than 100 high schools during their initial tenure. The updated agreement expands the scope into collegiate competition for the first time.

“Some partnerships just fit, and we are excited to welcome Emerge back to the PlayVS community,” said Aaron Kelley, Head of Marketing at PlayVS. “Emerge understands what esports programs need from a jersey partner: great design, incredible customer service and gear that gives students a stronger sense of team identity. Expanding this relationship into collegiate competition allows us to create a more consistent experience for players and programs at every level.”

Matthew Worsman, Founder of Emerge Apparel, added: “We are thrilled to reunite with PlayVS and once again support the schools, coaches and players who make this community special. Both organisations have grown since we first worked together, and bringing Emerge apparel to the PlayVS College League makes this next chapter even more exciting.”
