Japanese esports organisation REJECT has announced a sponsorship agreement with Japanese food and biotechnology company Ajinomoto Co., Inc.
Through the new sponsorship agreement, REJECT will work with Ajinomoto to provide nutritional support to players and sharing the importance of proper nutrition with the gaming community.
According to REJECT, the esports industry is entering a stage where daily habits and living conditions can directly affect a player’s performance. As a result, factors such as nutrition and lifestyle are becoming increasingly important for competitive success.
This isn’t the first time Ajinomoto has connected with esports. Just last month, it confirmed a sponsorship deal with EVO Japan 2026 focused on improving the health and performance of players, staff, competitors, and event attendees, a goal that closely aligns with its new commitment to REJECT.

Shoya Koyama, Representative Director of REJECT, said, “Since its founding, REJECT has seriously approached esports as a “competition” and has focused on building teams that can compete on a global level. In this context, we feel extremely encouraged to be able to work with Ajinomoto, a company that has been involved in the fields of sports and “food” for many years.Through this initiative, we aim to support players through nutrition, raise awareness and interest in “food” throughout the gaming community, and contribute to the further development of the esports scene.”
Takuya Nonaka, eSports Business Development Manager, Ajinomoto Co. Ltd., said, “We are delighted to announce our partnership with the professional gaming team REJECT, which will further develop our efforts in esports. Through this initiative, we will redouble our commitment to supporting esports athletes and contribute broadly to the development of the entire esports scene from a “food” perspective, so that more people can enjoy games for a long time and in a positive way.”
Beyond its latest deal, REJECT has continued to expand its business and partnership network in recent months. In April 2026, the organisation renewed its team sponsorship agreement with NURO, the communication service brand operated by Sony Network Communications. Earlier, in December 2025, REJECT Inc. secured new financing from Mizuho Bank to support its long-term growth plans, including future mergers and acquisitions.
