Sam Hibbert, who recently left National Student Esports (NSE) after seven years, has taken on the role of Head of Pro Gaming at Scan Computers.

Scan Computers specialises in custom PC builds and end-to-end solutions tailored for gamers and esports professionals. Hibbert will be joining Director of Gaming and Esports Michael O’Dell and Business Sales Manager Paul Coyle at Gamescom in Cologne to meet with publishers, developers, influencers, and esports companies, exploring how Scan can expand its support within the industry.

According to a post on LinkedIn, Hibbert’s connection with Scan runs deep, dating back to his childhood when he bought his first PC from the company. Over the years, Scan also sponsored events he attended and he worked closely with the firm during his time at NSE.

During Hibbert’s tenure at NSE, the organisation operated the British University Esports Championship in partnership with British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), with more than 2,200 teams from 117 universities competing in the 2024/25 season. Besides Scan Computers, NSE collaborates with publishers including Nintendo, Riot Games, and Ubisoft, and has maintained long-term partnerships with brands such as Monster Energy and Pringles.
