North American mobile esports organisation Tribe Gaming has laid off several employees across its social media, creative, and design teams. The layoffs are believed to have taken place around March 17 and 18.

The company did not make any official announcement about the job cuts. Instead, news of the layoffs came from employees themselves, who shared updates on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn. The exact number of people affected is not known, but at least six employees have publicly said they were laid off.

Among those affected is Cody Gray, Senior Social Media Manager and former Head of Social, who said he had been laid off after six years with the organisation. He joined as a creative intern and worked on growing Tribe Gaming’s social channels, covering Brawl Stars esports, producing content, and working with brands such as Supercell, Activision, Riot Games, and Netflix.

Project Manager Roger G. also confirmed his departure after seven years, describing the company as “family” and saying it was time to “turn the page.” Other employees who posted about being laid off include Senior Art Director Jay Braga, Art Director Bruno Guterres, Graphic Designer Lucas Dias, and 3D Artist Leon Lucas. Several of them said they are now looking for new jobs or freelance work.

Layoff tracking X account WhatLayoff has described the cuts as part of industry and economic pressures which mainly affected teams focused on social media, creative work, and design.

So far, Tribe Gaming has not commented publicly on the layoffs. Its official social media accounts are still posting regular content such as game clips and promotions, with no mention of the situation. The Esports Radar reached out to Tribe Gaming for a statement on the case and will update this story as a response or other relevant facts come to light.

Tribe Gaming was founded in 2017 as a mobile esports organisation. It started with games like Clash Royale and Clash of Clans and later expanded into titles such as Brawl Stars, Call of Duty: Mobile, and PUBG Mobile. The organisation won the Clash of Clans World Championship in 2025 and has also grown into a content and marketing-focused company alongside its esports teams.
