Betting company 1xBet and tournament organiser PGL have agreed to extend their partnership through 2029. Under the new deal, 1xBet stays on as the exclusive betting partner for all PGL Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) and Dota 2 tournaments.
The extension builds on the companies’ existing agreement and broadens it. It includes PGL’s major events, such as Tier-1 CS2 tournaments and CS2 Majors (PGL will organise the upcoming Singapore Major 2026), along with Dota 2 championships that bring together top teams from around the world.
As part of the deal, 1xBet will keep appearing in PGL broadcasts and on PGL’s digital platforms and will be involved in special activities tied to PGL tournaments. Both companies said the longer partnership should also lead to new joint projects aimed at improving the experience for fans, both while watching events and outside of broadcasts.
“We continue to invest in esports and see real value in long-term partnerships. We’ve been working with PGL for years, and extending our agreement through 2029 gives us the opportunity to go beyond simply being present at tournaments. It allows us to engage with the audience consistently and build an even stronger connection with esports fans,” a 1xBet representative said in a press release.
“Building a sustainable tournament ecosystem is important to us. Together with 1xBet, we’ll be able to develop new formats, reach wider audiences, and work on projects designed not just for one season, but for years to come,” said a PGL representative.
1xBet and PGL first worked together in February 2024, when 1xBet was named the official betting partner of the PGL Copenhagen CS2 Major. The partnership grew in February 2025, when 1xBet became the exclusive betting partner for PGL’s Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 events more broadly.
Beyond these two games, 1xBet has also branched into other PGL projects. In December 2025, it became the title sponsor of PGL’s first Geoguessr tournament, the XMark Media Cup. With this latest extension, the relationship between the two companies is now set to continue for several more years, covering some of the biggest upcoming CS2 and Dota 2 events, including the second CS2 Major of 2026 in Singapore, PGL Łódź 2027, and the $1 million CS2 tournament in China.
