The Global Gaming League (GGL) has officially announced that Emmy Award-winning actor, writer, and producer Seth Green has joined the organisation’s Advisory Board.

In his new executive advisory role, Green will collaborate directly with GGL’s leadership to guide creative strategy, intellectual property development, talent partnerships, and original programming.

To celebrate the partnership, GGL is launching “Ready, Seth, Go!”, a month-long, 10-event tournament series hosted on GGL Primes, the league’s premium competitive platform launched one week earlier to provide amateur players a progression pathway from localised leagues into celebrity-owned major league teams.

The commemorative tournament series spans several gaming franchises and features 50 distinct prize opportunities. Activations include Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Zombies survival challenges highlighting Green’s voiceover character Poindexter, Mass Effect speed-runs celebrating his role as Joker, and competitive brackets for Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6. The flagship creative competition, “Build Your Shepard,” will task the community with designing custom Mass Effect avatars to be personally reviewed by Green.

The appointment highlights GGL’s strategic push to merge traditional Hollywood entertainment infrastructure with interactive, community-driven gaming culture, a topic further explored by The Esports Radar in a recent interview with Clinton Sparks, Founder and CEO of GGL.

In a press release, Sparks, stated that Green’s multi-decade background in cultivating dedicated fanbases across animation, television, and film will assist the platform in tailoring entertainment experiences that resonate authentically with core gamers. “Today’s audiences don’t just want to watch, they want to participate,” the CEO added. “Everything we build is designed to bring fans into the experience. ‘Ready, Seth, Go!’ isn’t just a celebration of Seth’s career; it’s a celebration of the gaming communities that have supported these iconic franchises for years.”

“I’ve spent my career being part of passionate communities,” stated Green. “Whether through movies, television, animation, or video games, the best experiences happen when people feel connected through something they love. Gaming is one of the few spaces where everyone speaks the same language. What drew me to GGL is its commitment to making competitive gaming more accessible. It gives everyone—not just elite players—the opportunity to compete, connect, and belong. That’s the kind of community I want to help build.”

The integration of Hollywood talent aligns with GGL’s foundational corporate structure. Founded by Sparks, a Grammy-nominated music producer and former FaZe Clan executive who also co-founded XSET, the league’s executive roster includes music artist T-Pain as Director of Strategy. GGL’s franchise ecosystem features prominent celebrity team owners, including Howie Mandel, Ne-Yo, and Flavor Flav.
