GameBreakers Network, a Canadian youth esports development platform, has signed its first international franchise agreement with Algon Games, a grassroots gaming and esports organisation active in Spain and Latin America. The deal makes Algon the exclusive operator of GameBreakers Spain and marks the first step in the company’s global rollout.

GameBreakers, which launched in Canada earlier this year, runs structured esports camps that combine competitive play with media production, entrepreneurship, and wellness. Its franchising model packages the curriculum with a revenue framework, parent certification courses, a launch playbook, training resources, and a soon-to-launch app designed as a digital hub.

The partnership will begin in Madrid this December with an open house event introducing families to the programme and beginning registrations. In March 2026, the first eight-week youth camps will launch in the city. A global exchange programme will also link participants from Canada, Spain, and Latin America, offering opportunities to train and compete internationally.

Mary-Lynn Brownlee, Vice President and Co-Founder of GameBreakers, said the network is “creating a global ecosystem that gives youth and families two safe doors into the gaming world – through Discord and our upcoming app,” being “a first-of-its-kind model.”

For Algon Games, the franchise provides a platform to scale structured esports opportunities across Spain and Latin America. For GameBreakers, it signals the start of licensing its Canadian model internationally, with Madrid serving as the first hub outside North America.
