Streaming platform SOOP has announced the launch of an online international exchange event titled 2026 Cross Regional – LoL, scheduled to take place on 21–22 June 2026.
Tapping into an influx of European esports teams and content creators currently travelling to South Korea for training bootcamps and the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), the competition will adopt a national team format pitting prominent creators and professional players representing South Korea and France against each other.
To support the project, SOOP secured a partnership with South Korean payment gateway provider Payletter. The company handles payment services for major competitive titles like League of Legends and VALORANT alongside its integrations with SOOP. In contact with The Esports Radar, a representative commented that SOOP has been “maintaining a successful partnership with Payletter across various esports content, which naturally led them to join us for this Cross-Regional project as well.”
The initiative aims to foster communication and global exchange within the platform’s digital ecosystem through a total prize pool of 10 million won (approximately $6,500 USD).

The tournament’s competitive schedule is divided across two consecutive days featuring distinct rosters. The opening match day on Sunday 21 June will feature five Korean streamers facing off against a French roster consisting of players currently residing in Korea for team bootcamps.
The second day of competition, scheduled for Monday 22 June, will integrate active professional players from SOOP’s League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) partner organisations, including Dplus KIA and DN SOOPers, to compete against the French squad.
In contact with The Esports Radar, SOOP revealed that the project forms a central part of the platform’s broader content investment strategy, aimed at securing a long-term domestic and global user influx through collaborative activations featuring high-profile international creators.
Also, by inserting its officially partnered LCK organisations into the tournament line-up, SOOP seeks to maximise the value of its team partnerships while driving international fan engagement toward the Korean competitive scene ahead of the MSI kickoff.
To ensure accessibility for overseas viewers, the broadcast will feature an official English co-stream hosted by Adam “Eragon“ Harney, one of the coaches of the United Kingdom League of Legends representation at the Esports Nations Cup and a former LEC commentator.
