100 Thieves announced today that it is officially parting ways with its Marvel Rivals team after the end of the 2025 competitive season.

The decision ends a strong year for a roster that became one of the most successful teams in North America. The team achieved several milestones, including winning the first Marvel Rivals Invitational.

Even though the roster is being released, 100 Thieves says it is still committed to the Marvel Rivals scene. The organisation says it will continue working with NetEase, players and staff to support the growing competitive ecosystem.

By staying partnered with NetEase, 100 Thieves is perhaps keeping itself in a good position to sign a new roster later in 2026 if the ecosystem becomes stronger or if NetEase launches better team incentive programs.

“There really wasn’t a better North American team that could mark the inaugural entrance to represent 100 Thieves Marvel Rivals,” said Joseph Jang, SVP of Esports. “This team has done nothing but elevate the competitive spirit of 100 Thieves esports during our 2025 season.”

The news comes as other organisations make similar decisions. Sentinels announced earlier this year that it would pause its Marvel Rivals operations. The team said it was proud of what it achieved and might return if NetEase introduces a program with more support for organisations.
