Riot Games has announced that the Verizon VALORANT Game Changers NA Stage 2 Finals will culminate in a live LAN event for the first time in the circuit’s history.

Scheduled to take place at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles on Thursday 17 September 2026, the live showcase will bring together North America’s top two teams to compete in front of a studio audience.

On the commercial front, the tournament maintains an extensive roster of established brands to support its transition to a physical venue. Telecommunications giant Verizon returns as the official 5G and wireless services provider for the VCT. Energy drink brand Red Bull will serve as the official energy drink partner, retaining its presentation of the “Clutch Moment” broadcast segment. Furthermore, Secretlab has been designated as the official chair supplier to provide ergonomic hardware for the competing athletes.

Women-led tournament solutions provider Raidiant will operate as the official tournament organiser and broadcast partner for the Stage 2 event. In addition to managing the logistics of the tournament, Raidiant will provide an observer-only secondary stream feed on its official Twitch channel during overlapping match days on 1–2 September, supporting the primary broadcast delivered across the main VALORANT Americas Twitch and YouTube channels.

The move to a live stadium audience also serves as an encouraging sign of warmth for a women’s esports sector that recently looked fragile. Following the closure of ESL Impact, the 2025 competitive calendar felt catastrophic for the development of an inclusive esports ecosystem, raising serious doubts regarding the long-term viability of women’s initiatives. However, the 2026 season is introducing healthier indicators; L’Oréal Paris recently partnered with FURIA’s women’s Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster for a one-off activation, signalling that major non-endemic brands still see clear commercial potential in the space.

Furthermore, the Brazilian Rainhas do Clutch tournament is expanding internationally under the leadership of the Rio de Janeiro Esports Federation (FERJEE), whilst Brace 4 Impact has emerged in the United States with direct operational backing from the ESL FACEIT Group to help sustain the grassroots ecosystem.

Amidst these fluctuating market dynamics, Riot Games continues to provide one of the most stable foundational pathway through its structured VALORANT Game Changers circuit and corresponding women’s League of Legends initiatives. Top-tier organisations like MIBR and Team Liquid are continuously keeping their financial investments flowing, choosing to integrate these rosters directly into their core brand strategies rather than treating them as isolated side projects. Similar corporate support is expanding across Europe, where G2 Hel returned to active play through a partnership with McDonald’s.

Concurrently, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has announced a dedicated women’s EA FC league backed by bank BPI, who will serve as the tournament’s official title partner.

The path to the live finals features an online double-elimination bracket that begins on 1 September and concludes its remote portion with the best-of-five Lower Bracket Finals on 9 September. Currently, the tournament’s Open Qualifiers are underway, with Open Qualifier #4 set to commence on 30 June. A total of 16 teams progressing from the open bracket and the Stage 1 Main Event will battle through a seven-round Swiss Stage to determine the top eight squads qualifying for the Main Event. Prominent regional contenders in the running to reach the live studio audience include Stage 1 champions SwimTrek Blue, reigning 2025 North American champions Shopify Rebellion Gold, and FlyQuest RED.
