The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has officially launched the 2026 edition of the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault, the one of the world’s largest tennis-themed esports competitions. The event continues to be anchored by prominent non-endemic sponsors, as Renault returns as the title partner, while Mastercard continues its tenure as an official partner.

Both brands are also official partners of the traditional Roland-Garros tennis tournament alongside brands like Rolex, Lacoste, Emirates, and more.

The competition is played exclusively on Tennis Clash, developed by Wildlife Studios. The FFT has formalised an extension of its partnership with the developer through 2030. The game, which boasts over 5 million monthly active users, serves as the primary gateway for the FFT to reach a younger, digitally native audience that may not traditionally engage with the Grand Slam.

Following a record-breaking 2025 season that saw over 515,000 participants, the eSeries continues with its “bridge” strategy, linking the heritage of clay-court tennis with the massive mobile gaming market. Open qualifiers are currently active, allowing players to compete for a spot in the eight-person final via mobile and tablet devices.

The Final Stage will take place on 23 May 2026, held live at the Roland-Garros auditorium in Paris. To elevate the broadcast’s prestige, the FFT has secured Laure Valée—recently named Esports Host of the Year at the 2025 Game Awards—to lead the presentation. The event will be streamed globally on YouTube and France TV, featuring a shared prize pool of €5,000 for the top two finishers.

Stéphane Barbat, Director of Partnerships at Renault, explained the support of the car manufacturer through a press release: “This competition perfectly embodies our vision: connecting generations through innovative and ambitious experiences. As title partner, we aim to actively contribute to the growth and visibility of a new form of competition at the crossroads of tennis and digital entertainment.”

Giovanni Piffer, Head of Partnerships for Tennis Clash, commented on the agreement renewal with the Federation: “The renewal of our partnership through 2030 reflects a shared ambition to make eTennis a lasting pillar of the global tennis ecosystem. By blending the heritage of Roland-Garros with cutting-edge digital experiences, we’re creating new ways for fans to engage.”
