Smartphone brand Infinix has expanded its partnership with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports, the competitive gaming ecosystem run by MOONTON Games. The agreement covers several major MLBB tournaments across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Myanmar.
This isn’t the first time MOONTON Games and Infinix have teamed up for Southeast Asia’s MLBB scene. The company has previously worked with MLBB tournaments in countries such as the Philippines and Malaysia. The new agreement adds Indonesia and Thailand to that list.
Under the new partnership, Infinix will serve as the Presenting Partner of the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia, the Title Partner of the MLBB Development League (MDL) Indonesia, and an Official Sponsor of the MLBB Super League (MSL) Thailand. This means Infinix branding will be visible during the tournament streams, on social media, and possibly onsite too, giving fans the opportunity to test their gaming smartphones.
In return, Infinix will provide gaming smartphones to MOONTON Games that will eventually be used in the aforementioned tournament matches and supporting activities connected to the events. It is not confirmed if Infinix will still pay MOONTON a financial amount in addition to supplying the hardware used in competitions.
The partnership will also include several activities for fans and students. One example is fan club tournaments, where supporters of professional MLBB teams can compete against each other using Infinix gaming smartphones. These events are based on a similar format previously used in the Philippines called MPL PH FANsiklaban, where fan communities compete in friendly tournaments.
The companies also plan to hold gaming workshops on university campuses, where students can learn about esports careers and the gaming industry. Another initiative is the Infinix Campus Cup 2026 which is a student-focused MLBB competition that brings teams from different schools together for organised matches played on Infinix smartphones.
“This season marks the most comprehensive regional rollout we’ve done with a single hardware partner,” said Adrian Cher, Global Head of Partnerships, MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games. “MLBB esports operates one of the most competitive mobile esports ecosystems in the world, and maintaining consistent competitive conditions across them is critical. Partnerships like this ensure our players compete on infrastructure required for world-class mobile esports.”
Infinix teaming up with MOONTON Games isn’t actually its first move into mobile esports. About two weeks ago, the tech brand announced a major partnership with Garena, becoming the official sponsor of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Brazil for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. On top of that, last year Infinix was also confirmed as the official device partner for the main event in the PUBG Mobile competitive calendar, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).
