European esports organisation Team Secret has announced a new partnership with Dino Gaming, which will now become its official cybercafé partner in Vietnam. Dino Gaming is based in Ho Chi Minh City and runs a network of gaming cafés used by thousands of players every month.
Through this partnership, Dino Gaming will help Team Secret’s Vietnam-based teams prepare for competitions. This includes providing spaces for bootcamps, where players train together before tournaments. Teams playing games like League of Legends (LoL), Arena of Valor, and PUBG Mobile will use these facilities.
Dino Gaming will also host watch parties and fan events. This means fans can come together to watch matches live, meet other supporters, and sometimes even interact with players. For instance, during a major League of Legends match, fans might gather at a café to cheer for Team Secret while watching on a big screen.
It is not disclosed if Dino Gaming’s logo will appear on Team Secret’s jerseys. The team also did not confirm if activations like mentions or tags for Dino Gaming will appear in their social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, or if the brand will be featured in videos, livestreams, or other content created by the team.
However, the Dino Gaming partnership comes at a time when Team Secret is heavily investing in Vietnam, despite being a European esports organisation, due to the region’s massive scale and engagement. Team Secret identified this opportunity years ago when their CEO, John Yao, highlighted Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam, as a region with rapid fan growth and high engagement.
The country also offers more cost-effective opportunities to scout talent, build facilities, and expand operations. The government and market are supportive of esports, and the fan base is young with a strong preference for mobile gaming. In contrast, Europe has more established teams but is more expensive.
Rather than entering the market alone, Team Secret partnered with the Vietnamese organisation Team Whales in late 2024 to form Team Secret Whales. The roster quickly became competitive in the regional League of Legends circuit, qualifying for international events such as the League of Legends World Championship 2025 (Worlds 2025) and First Stand 2026.
They also launched a team for Arena of Valor in early 2026, entering one of Asia’s strongest mobile esports ecosystems, operated by Garena. In addition, they leveraged on the success of their LoL team to secure partnerships with major Vietnamese TV and media companies like VTVCab to reach a wider audience through localised content, streams, and coverage.
