iGaming platform BetBoom announced a new partnership with Gustavo “Baiano” Gomes, one of the most prominent League of Legends (LoL) influencers in Brazil, and IDL (Ilha das Lendas), a major content hub in the local LoL ecosystem founded by Baiano himself.

The collaboration is designed to scale BetBoom’s impact in the Brazilian market through large-scale activations and experiences tailored to the local community. Stepan Dobrovolskiy, CEO of BetBoom, noted that the move is a “strategic step” in leveraging the global influence of Baiano and IDL to deliver relevant innovations to their regional customer base.

The partnership strengthens BetBoom’s already extensive portfolio in Brazilian Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), expanding the brand’s presence into the local League of Legends ecosystem. At Valve’s first-person shooter, the betting platform sponsors domestic competitions such as Circuit X, BetBoom Rush B! Summit, and BetBoom Storm.

Furthermore, BetBoom serves as an official regional partner for global tournament organisers including ESL FACEIT Group, BLAST, and PGL, focusing especially on securing broadcast rights of CS2 competitions.

Baiano stated that the collaboration with the IDL hub will focus on “strengthening creators” and bringing fans closer to the competitive scene through new digital experiences.

IDL constantly boasts more active viewers in its co-stream of the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) than the official Riot Games channel, and also broadcasts international competitions of the game such as the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) and the LCS (League of Legends Championship Series) to Portuguese-speaking audiences.

A notable technicality of the deal involves compliance with Riot Games’ strict regulations regarding betting sponsorships within its ecosystem. To adhere to these guidelines, BetBoom’s branding and promotional assets will only be visible during broadcast segments where the game is not actively on screen. This “out-of-game” branding strategy ensures that the partnership can operate within the League of Legends space while respecting the publisher’s global integrity policies.
