Warner Bros. Games and the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) have announced a partnership to broadcast the 2026 Evo circuit live on HBO Max and Warner Play.

The deal brings localised Portuguese-language coverage to subscribers across Latin America, covering three major stops on the 2026 calendar: Evo Japan (Tokyo), Evo 2026 (Las Vegas), and Evo France (Nice). Beyond the HBO Max streaming platform, content will be mirrored across Warner Play’s social channels on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, featuring live analysis and commentary.

This broadcast agreement marks the first major media activation for the region since Evo appointed former Team Liquid Brazil General Manager Rafael Queiroz as Head of LATAM last week. The move appears to be a coordinated effort to cultivate and professionalize the Latin American audience ahead of Evo’s massive 2027 global expansion, which will include official flagship events in Brazil and Mexico.

The partnership officially debuts with Evo Japan 2026, scheduled for May 1–3. The broadcast will feature top-tier titles including Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and The King of Fighters XV. Notably, the lineup also includes Riot Games2XKO.

For HBO Max, the inclusion of Evo is a move to diversify its live sports portfolio in Latin America, which already includes premium football rights. By integrating the Fighting Game Community (FGC) into a platform primarily known for cinema and traditional sports, Warner Bros. aims to bridge the gap between “hardcore” competitive gaming and general entertainment audiences.

As Evo continues to roll out details regarding its Fighting Game World Championship and increased prize pools, this media deal ensures that the Latin American keeps as a pillar of the brand’s long-term commercial viability.
