French esports organisation Gentle Mates and television/monitor manufacturer TCL (TCL Electronics Europe) have renewed their commercial partnership for a fourth consecutive year.

Announced by executives from both companies, the extension ensures that TCL remains an official hardware partner for the club. The primary operational focus of the extension is the immediate expansion of their co-branded hardware portfolio, introducing two new high-performance Mini LED monitors designed to capture market share within the competitive gaming display sector.

The collaboration relies on combining professional competitive insights with TCL’s manufacturing capabilities to deliver high-tier visual displays without compromising image quality. According to Patrick Boudinski, General Manager for France at TCL Europe, the renewal underscores the sustained commercial viability of the activation. The multi-year deal allows TCL to consistently anchor its display products directly within the domestic French gaming community, utilising Gentle Mates’ digital footprint to promote its monitor lines.

Global Esports Industry Week (GEIW) will return in 2026 with a bigger and bolder edition, taking place across 18–21 June in Cologne, Germany, alongside IEM Cologne. The schedule and details about ticket sales are available in this link.

Alongside its deal with Gentle Mates, TCL has established a global footprint by sponsoring international organisations such as FURIA and EYEBALLERS. This strategy places the company in direct competition for brand awareness with established endemic display brands like ZOWIE, which recently secured an exclusivity extension with ESL FACEIT Group through 2027, as well as ASUS ROG, LG Electronics, Samsung, and AGON by AOC, all of which are actively locking down multi-year partnerships across elite and collegiate esports circuits.

Furthermore, the renewal capitalises on an unprecedented period of macroeconomic momentum for the French esports market. French President Emmanuel Macron recently declared that “France is at the top of esports” following hometown club Karmine Corp securing the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Paris Major title. This domestic growth is anchored by the sudden, strategic relocation of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 from Riyadh to Paris, scheduled to run from 6 July to 23 August 2026.

With French powerhouses like Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, and Gentle Mates deeply integrated into international leagues, TCL’s continued alignment with the region ensures commercial visibility ahead of a historic summer for European gaming.
