Norwegian esports organisation Metizport has announced a multi-year partnership with the betting operator Epicbet, which will now serve as the title sponsor for its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) division.
The agreement marks a significant shift for the organisation, with the team transitioning to the name Metizport Epicbet across all upcoming competitions. According to the organisation, the partnership is designed to provide sustained investment in the development of its professional players and enhance community engagement initiatives.

This move follows a period of commercial growth for Metizport, which has recently integrated several new partners including Maysun (health and performance), Samsung (monitors), and AndaSeat (gaming chairs) under the leadership of CCO Perry Smith, who was appointed at the beginning of the current commercial drive.
“This partnership is a significant milestone for Metizport, and one that reflects the commercial trajectory we have been on for some time,” stated Smith. “The work our team has put in behind the scenes deserves recognition, and having Epicbet commit to our Counter Strike division at this level is a direct validation of that effort. For our players it means real, sustained investment in their development. For our fans it means they can back a project that is genuinely built to last.”

The sponsorship highlights a growing trend of betting-related entities securing naming rights and title positions within mid-tier and regional esports organisations. For Epicbet, the deal represents a broader interest in the Counter-Strike market.
Ervin Järvlepp, CMO at SISU GROUP, the company behind Epicbet, noted: “At Epicbet, maintaining a strategic partnership with Metizport reflects our commitment to supporting the growth and future of esports at the highest level. Through this collaboration, we strengthen our connection with passionate gaming communities.”
