The Esports Awards has unveiled the full list of finalists for its 2025 ceremony, set to take place in Las Vegas on the 19th of November. The event, which marks the awards’ tenth year, will honour the key contributors from across the esports ecosystem over the past year.

Alongside the main ceremony, the industry-focused PWR UP conference will return on the 20th of November, offering a day of panels, talks, and networking for executives and professionals.

A significant portion of the categories highlights the business entities that underpin the competitive scene. The shortlists provide a snapshot of the leading organisations, partners, and publishers vying for recognition this year.

The Esports Organisation of the Year category features a mix of established and rising names, with G2 Esports, Gen.G, NRG, OpTic Gaming, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Team Vitality, Virtus.pro, AG.AL, and Weibo Gaming.

The race for Esports Commercial Partner of the Year is highly contested, with brands such as DHL, Intel, Logitech G, Mastercard, and Red Bull nominated. They are joined by Mobil 1, PepsiCo, Shopify, VISA, eyewear brand Zenni, and mobile device maker Infinix.

In the Esports Publisher of the Year category, the industry’s leading game developers are recognised. The list includes Electronic Arts (EA), Epic Games, Krafton, Riot Games, MOONTON Games, and Valve, alongside others like Microsoft and Marvel Rivals publisher NetEase.

The Esports Supporting Platform of the Year award will see data, community, and performance platforms competing for the title. Finalists range from analytics firms like Blinkfire, Esports Charts, and Shikenso to community hubs like Discord and FACEIT, and tools like Liquipedia and Mobalytics.

Several creative marketing initiatives have been shortlisted for Esports Creative Campaign of the Year. Notable campaigns include Team Vitality’s partnerships with Nescafé and Aldi, DHL‘s eFFiBOT Game World Championship, and anniversary celebrations from Team Liquid. The ALGS x Red Bull collaboration and Prime Video’s Esports World Cup campaign are also in the running.

Public voting for the awards is now open and will run until the 12th of November. The ceremony in Las Vegas will conclude a significant year for the Esports Awards, which held its Decade Awards event in Riyadh this past August. Oakley will be featured as the event’s Official Eyewear Partner after renewing its partnership deal for another two years.

Despite being featured at the Decade Awards, the ‘Esports Coverage/Content Platform of the Year‘ award is now absent from the Esports Awards 2025 list. Its remit appears to have been partly absorbed by the ‘Esports Supporting Platform of the Year’ category, which now shortlists former contenders from the coverage segment, such as the wiki platform Liquipedia and the analytics service Esports Charts.

Notably, the traditional ‘Esports Journalist of the Year‘ category has been discontinued since 2024, which raised concerns in the community about possible influence from the Awards’ three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation, established that same year.

The Esports Radar contacted Esports Awards for comment and will update this story upon receiving a response.
