Brazilian esports organisation FURIA has announced a new partnership with consumer electronics brand TCL. The agreement names TCL as an official sponsor of the club.
As part of the deal, the TCL logo will be featured on the right sleeve of FURIA’s official team jersey. Furthermore, the two companies will collaborate on fan-focused activations, including a stand at the Brazil Game Show (BGS) one of the largest gaming fairs in Latin America.
The partnership will focus on promoting TCL’s line of gaming monitors and televisions. It also marks the first time TCL brings its QD-Mini LED monitor line to Brazil, a technology previously only available in its premium televisions larger than 85 inches.
An additional initiative will see FURIA and TCL invite a squad of amateur players to experience a weekend bootcamp at FURIA’s headquarters in São Paulo. The amateurs will receive support from specialists who work with FURIA’s high-performance teams. The bootcamp will be documented in a content piece for both brands’ social media channels.
Pedro Lopes, Head of Marketing at FURIA, commented on the alliance, stating, “Uniting a brand that seeks to communicate and be close to a young audience, like TCL, with FURIA, which already works directly with this community, is an ideal combination. Having TCL as a partner represents the consolidation of our work to strengthen the brand.”
Dale Chen, Marketing Director for TCL Latin America, highlighted the strategic importance of the gaming market, saying, “The partnership with FURIA reinforces our commitment to entertainment, innovation, and Brazilian gamers. The market of gaming fans is extremely important for TCL, as it is a constantly growing, demanding audience that knows how to recognise and value all the technology that is part of the company’s products.”
Recently, FURIA has further expanded its commercial portfolio, having also announced partnerships with peripheral maker Logitech G and, specifically for its Counter-Strike 2 team, with betting operator BetBoom.
