G2 Esports has partnered with the anime series Solo Leveling, through anime streming service Crunchyroll, to release a limited-edition fashion collection, marking the organisation’s first foray into anime collaborations. The move capitalises on the growing convergence of esports, gaming, and anime culture.
The limited-edition drop, which became available on 14th November 2025 via G2’s online store, aims to merge competitive gaming narratives with street fashion. The initiative underscores a broader trend within the esports industry to expand beyond traditional merchandise and establish a stronger presence in the lifestyle and apparel sectors.
The collection’s design draws direct inspiration from the anime’s aesthetic, featuring a dark, understated colour palette with visual elements reminiscent of the protagonist’s powers. G2 stated the thematic link is the “zero to hero” narrative shared by both the anime’s main character, Sung Jin-Woo, and the esports organisation’s own competitive history.
Sabrina Ratih, COO of G2 Esports, commented on the partnership, stating, “We’ve wanted to release an anime collaboration for the longest time so we’re more than excited to kick off our first ever anime drop with Solo Leveling. It feels like the perfect fit for G2’s story – relentless, transformative, and built from the grind up.”
This collaboration is part of a wider pattern of alliances between esports organisations and anime properties. Recent years have seen similar crossovers, including Team Liquid with BLEACH, Cloud9 with BEYBLADE X, and Sentinels with Haikyu!!, the latter also facilitated through Crunchyroll. The anime streaming service itself is deepening its ties with gaming, having been a sponsor of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship.
Even though this is the first collaboration of G2 with an established anime, the team’s connection with eastern culture extends beyond this merchandise drop. The organisation recently launched its own original manga, ‘Red Aura’, on the Japanese LINE MANGA platform in late October 2025.
