Team Falcons chairman Mosaad “MsDossary” Al-Dossary has denied reports that the Saudi organisation paid a $2 million buyout fee to sign Counter-Strike 2 pro Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin.
The denial comes after confirmation that Falcons had officially signed Kyousuke — one of the top upcoming Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) talents — as they continue to build their team to be one that can compete with the dominant Team Vitality.
In a post on Twitter/X, esports personality Jake Lucky claimed that the buyout from Team Spirit was rumored to be in the region of $2 million.
But MsDossary, a former FIFA world champion and high-profile figure in Saudi Arabian esports, publicly responded to clarify the numbers. “The buyout rumor isn’t correct. The buyout was big but not close to what you mentioned.”
Thanks for sharing the announcement, However the buyout rumors isn’t correct . The buyout was big but not close to what you mentioned 🙏🏻

While MsDossary did not reveal the exact figure, his response comes amid growing talk on social media of Falcons inflating the CS2 transfer market. Still, the signing underscores the organisation’s ambition to become a dominant force in global Counter-Strike, especially ahead of the game’s presence at the Esports World Cup 2025.
Kyousuke, known for his consistent performances and clutch potential, joins a Falcons squad that already includes several international stars.
Team Falcons have been one of the most aggressive buyers in Counter Strike since entering the scene, reportedly fielding one of the highest-paid rosters in the world.
While the exact buyout amount remains undisclosed, Kyousuke’s transfer highlights Falcons’ ongoing commitment to competing at the highest level – and making sure they bring in the most promising talent to do so.
