French Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) star Dan apEX Madesclaire has signed a partnership deal with Oakley, joining the eyewear company’s official athletes roster.

No further details of the agreement were disclosed. Neither apEX nor Oakley revealed the value of the deal, the length of the contract, whether the partnership includes exclusivity provisions, content commitments, or any other commercial terms.

While the exact scope of the partnership has not been announced, apEX is expected to represent Oakley across marketing campaigns and brand activities. This will likely include wearing Oakley products such as sunglasses, performance eyewear, and potentially gaming-specific or prescription eyewear in content, training environments and competitive settings.

apEX announced the partnership through a video posted on social media. In the video, apEX talked about his long career in Counter-Strike and spoke about the importance of clear vision while wearing the Oakley glasses.

Global Esports Industry Week (GEIW) will return in 2026 with a bigger and bolder edition, taking place across 18–21 June in Cologne, Germany, alongside IEM Cologne. The schedule and details about ticket sales are available in this link.

Oakley is no stranger to esports. Earlier this year, it closed a collaboration with organisation FURIA. Back in 2021, it made Call of Duty star Seth ScumpAbner the first esports athlete to be sponsored by the brand.

When it comes to apEX, personal partnerships by the player include Skin.Club, a Counter-Strike skin trading and case-opening platform, and a partnership with gaming monitor brand ZOWIE, helping the brand’s engineers and performance staff improve hardware designed for top-level competition.

Oakley’s deal with apEX also comes shortly after fellow Team Vitality star ZywOo announced his own ambassador partnership with GPU giant NVIDIA. Both announcements were made ahead of the team’s debut at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
