“This partnership is more than symbolic—it’s a commitment to the youth of Azerbaijan,” said Ogtay Gasimzada, President of AZESF. “We are proud to be working with MOONTON Games to provide structure, opportunity, and visibility to MLBB players in our country.”
Ajay Jilka, Head of Esports at MOONTON Games for Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Emerging Markets, added: “Our goal is to support the Federation in nurturing the next generation of MLBB players, offering them both regional and international opportunities to develop and showcase their skills.”
The first official MLBB tournament in Azerbaijan will take place in September 2025, featuring online qualifiers and an offline final. AZESF also plans to integrate the game into its University Esports Circuit, introduce monthly community cups and campus tournaments, and launch training and streamer programmes.
MOONTON’s global ecosystem includes international competitions such as the M Series and MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC), as well as regional professional leagues. MLBB already has an established presence as a tool for youth and education development in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia and the Philippines.
