Theta Labs has announced a partnership with the esports organisation Method to launch an interactive AI agent. The tool is designed to provide guidance to players of World of Warcraft, Rumble, and the upcoming Dune: Awakening.
The collaboration will see Method grant Theta Labs access to its Method.gg guide content and databases. This includes class insights, dungeon and raid strategies, tier lists, and tips written by the organisation’s in-house authors. The AI agent will allow users to search for this gameplay guidance. Method operates within some of the largest online communities of World of Warcraft.
“World of Warcraft has meant so much to our community for 20 years, and having quick, easy and accessible content has gotten more important than ever,” said Liam Whitehead, Head of Partnerships at Method. “Method has always been at the forefront of innovation, and being able to combine Theta’s AI infrastructure with our knowledge, makes so much sense.”
“Method represents one of the most engaged communities in MMORPG gaming worldwide, and collaborating with them is a natural extension of Theta’s blockchain mission to support large-scale audiences in media, sports and entertainment,” said Mitch Liu, Co-founder and CEO of Theta Labs.”
Method joins a growing list of organisations exploring AI chatbots to deepen fan experiences. In recent months, Theta Labs has announced comparable initiatives with Gen.G, 100 Thieves, Dignitas, Cloud9, and even esports media outlet Sheep Esports. The Method AI Agent is scheduled to go live later this quarter.
