National body Esport Canada has announced the appointment of Jordan Ayrin He as its new Director of Strategic Growth & Operations.

He steps into the role with a stated mission of driving sustainable commercial growth, while balancing nationwide grassroots development with high-performance national team programmes across international competitions, including the upcoming Esports Nations Cup (ENC).

In the new position, He will manage Esport Canada’s domestic and international operational framework. Domestically, his focus centres on long-term operational sustainability and refining competition structures alongside provincial and territorial partners.

Internationally, He will oversee business operations and sponsor activations for Canadian national teams, aiming to establish continuity for players transitioning from scholastic leagues to elite international competition.

He’s background in esports boasts over 15 years of industry experience, spanning both competitive play and international corporate management. A former Canadian national team player, he represented Canada at the 2012 World Cyber Games in Kunshan, China, before competing as an in-game leader in Crossfire and VALORANT. On the business side, He has worked across seven countries, holding industry roles at publisher Riot Games and esports organisation M80.

The leadership addition comes as Esport Canada prepares for major international representation as the official National Team Partner for Canada at the Esports Nations Cup 2026, scheduled for November in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Esport Canada’s national team operations for the event are supported by Canadian esports holding company Overactive Media, the parent organisation behind Toronto KOI and Movistar KOI.
