Gaming peripheral manufacturer ATK Gear has announced its first team activation in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) through a strategic campaign with Ukraine-based organisation B8 Esports.

Centred around IEM Beijing 2026, the short-term activation serves as an operational trial phase to test workflows between ATK’s European and Chinese teams, while positioning the Chinese brand as a commercial gateway for Western esports organisations seeking market expansion in China.

Under the terms of the agreement, B8 Esports will collaborate on exclusive content tailored for ATK’s domestic Chinese fanbase during IEM Beijing 2026, including behind-the-scenes footage and digital activations. The agreement also incorporates a conditional jersey placement option should B8 Esports secure qualification for the upcoming PGL Singapore Major 2026.

As disclosed exclusively to The Esports Radar, ATK’s sponsorship philosophy targets flexible entities across multiple competitive tiers, incorporating teams like B8 Esports to foster a healthier broader ecosystem while testing cross-regional commercial synergies ahead of 2027.

The collaboration extends into hardware development, with B8 players actively testing ATK’s latest peripherals and providing performance feedback to inform the manufacturer’s upcoming product pipeline. B8 Esports Chief Executive Officer Vladyslav “arch” Svistov commented on the deal, emphasising that “gear is a performance tool, not just merch, and it’s great to work with a brand that wants to hear from players who compete at the top level.”

“With ATKs global expansion, we are happy to announce our campaign with B8 Esports for IEM Beijing and potentially the Major,” stated Johannes Preis, Global Esports Lead ATK Gear. “Our main priority with this partnership is to understand the synergies between the western and chinese CS2 market and build a long-term campaign in CS2 on top of that for 2027. The current success of B8 and the passion behind the project was a main reason why we decided to commit to this partnership. Together with the players we will be able to evolve our current product portfolio and push new hero products in the upcoming months into the market.”

Before expanding into CS2 through a partnership with tournament organiser StarLadder for the StarSeries Season 20, ATK built its esports footprint in VALORANT. The brand previously secured multi-regional partnerships with organisations such as BBL Esports (EMEA) and LEVIATÁN (Americas), as well as endorsement deals with prominent players Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov and Erick “aspas” Santos.

B8 has recently signed a partnership deal with crypto platform PayPilot. Building on this commercial momentum, the organisation is seeking to expand its business operations even further by bringing in a Head of Partnerships/Business Development Manager.
